L'un des évenements sportifs les plus importants en Autralie a eu lieu il y a quelques jours, j'ai nommé la Melbourne Cup, the race who stops the nation, (la course qui stoppe la nation...), il s'agit en fait de courses de chevaux, celui qui gagne a la gloire assurée (et un gros chèque si j'ai bien compris...) bref j'ai suivi ça sur grand écran, mais bon j'avoue ça ne m'a pas passionné. Par contre c'était assez drôlede voir toutes ces femmes dans la rue avec leur grand chapeau, non non elles n'étaient pas en route pour aller sur le champ de course, juste pour aller voir la course au pub mais qui dit melbourne cup dit gros chapeau moche, c'est comme ça, une tradition ça ne se discute pas...

Ils ont la possibilité de choisir leur plaque d'immatriculation, ce qui donne de petites choses marrantes parfois (next2U= près de toi)
Ce matin j'ai eu droit à une petite surprise en arrivant au travail, je passe tous les jours à coté d'un centre d'étude des 5 sens. Et ce matin il y avait un oiseau, je croyais qu'il était empaillé jusqu'à ce qu'il bouge!! je ne vous raconte pas le bond que j'ai fait... je me suis renseignée et en fait c'est une chouette aveugle qui est un peu la mascotte du centre, ils l'ont recueillie et ils l'utilisent en cours pour montrer comment un sens peut se sur-développer lorsqu'un autre disparait...

L'université au premier plan, les "montagnes qui entourent Brisbane à l'arrière plan. Je vois ça tous les jours depuis l'un de mes balcons (oui j'en ai deux :D)

C'est actuellement le début de la saison des mangues, pour le moment elles viennent du northern territory mais bientot celles du queensland seront mûres!!! miam... j'en ai encore deux dans mon frigo là... hummm
